Time for all you maids Vin of honor, bridesmaids and mothers to get to planning that perfect shower. Wondering where to begin? Start with a theme. Try to imagine the day of the shower; what do you want it to look like? What do you think your bide would want?
While the process can be a bit overwhelming, it always helps to start with a theme. Choosing either a color or an idea to spark a theme. Check out our bridal shower theme list as inspiration.
Top 5 Bridal Shower themes
1. "Tiffany" blue Shower - choose the brides favorite color, in this example, Tiffany blue, and build around it.
2. Tea Party - Arrange an assortment of tea sandwiches and sweets on cake stands and pretty platters, and serve with pots of different kinds of tea. For place cards at the table, remove the tags from tea bags, replace them with small handwritten name tags, and put a tea bag in an empty cup at each guest's place. Ask each guest to bring a vintage tea cup and saucer
3. Chocolate Affair - Who doesn't love chocolate? For this theme colours can be chocolate brown, ivory and another accent color (most colors will work well). Include a chocolate buffet with chocolate desserts. Chocolate fountains are easy to buy or rent for the day. Hand out chocolate bars with custom labels at the end of the day as gifts.
4. Travel or Honeymoon Theme - This is a great theme for a couple who is making a big trip for their honeymoon. You can ask the guests to bring items that the couple will need for their travels. Some examples are suitcases, beach towels, hiking shoes, or anything related to their trip. To decorate for the shower you could hang a big map of the world and travel posters, or decorate the room like the place the couple will be traveling to.
5. Vintage - I love this idea of a vintage bridal shower. With tons of bright playful colours and a warm eclectic feel, your guests will love this idea. Think of vintage finds, French design, farmhouse details, birds, and flowers. IN the image below, a bright array of colours including pinks, browns, corals, yellows, and oranges and baked up a gorgeous dessert buffet featuring a strawberry cake, carrot cake, Parisian macarons, whoopie pies, chocolate covered pretzels, and chocolate button lollipops. Each guest can take home a vintage teacup, with homemade madeleines and a bag of tea.
